Motors and Controls

Dates: May 12, 2011 Days: TH Time: 5:00pm - 9:00pm   Hrs: 4

Description: This class will focus on the operation and elcetrical construction of electrical motors and motor controls. A techinical representative from AO Smith will co instruct this class.

RCW/WAC Review

Dates:   May 19, 2011   Days: TH   Time: 5:00pm – 9:00pm   Hrs: 4

Description: This course is required by L&I to renew an electrical certification.  It provides a review of the current laws governing 06 and 07 electrical work.

Prerequisite: Electrical Certification/ CE hrs for 06A

Preventing Compressor Failure

2008 NEC Code Update

Complete study of Significant Changes to the 2008 NEC. 2008 NEC Code book recommended but not required.

Electrical 06A Prep Class

Dates: June 4 & June 11, 2011 Days: Sat.  
Time: 7:00am – 4:00pm   Hrs: 16

Description: This course is beneficial for anyone preparing to take the 06A Journeyman specialty electrical certificate exam.  The course provides a focused review of the NEC’s Limited Energy-related sections, the Washington Admin. Code (WAC), relevant technology and mathematics necessary to help you prepare for the Washington State 06 Licensing exam. 

Required Materials: 3 ring binder, calculator, Proof of approval to take the exam with sufficient hours and experience.

Required books:  2009 NEC – National Electrical Code and UGLY’s Electrical References,

2008 Edition (Spiral Bound) OR Ferm’s Fast Finder Index, NEC 2009,  2009 NEC Tabs for Reference National Electrical Code 2008 Tabs – books are available for sale at the JATC
